I am an avid writer. I have over the years come to realize that the idea of genres is a lack of intelligent creativity. Well...when you think about it, it is the marketers that need to use genres. They have placed Liturature, Music, Film and even Theatre into tidy little boxes to fill a fantasy that "People" need to be told what they like and want.
"What is the job of the Artist? The job of the Artist is to remind people of their own creativity." quoted from Zena Hagerty (an artist, writer and musician).
So I can only conclude that as a Writer, and a writer being an artist, I must strive to remind people that they have a creative force within themselves. We must all, as Artists, strive to remind those around us.
As different levels of Goverment in my area do their best to remove Art from the public school; they can not remove art from the people.
Is it not the Artist's creativity that spurs research and develoment into new areas? Is it not the Artist that unlocks new designs in arcitechture? Is it not the Artist...well we all get the picture here.
On a side note. One of the definitions of the word job is: scheme or project for personal gain at public expence.
So I will refrain from using the word job.
Unlock the future...its our task in life.
Well that was interesting.
25 years of Farming and dealing with the day to day caring for cattle and horses has left me with alot to say. Animal Hubandry and Horses have taken much of my time over the years, but I have managed to write informative articles for the Farming Community.
I have submitted articles to various Farm Publications over the years: Black River Cattlemen Association Publication and the Cochrane Cattlemen Association News Letter being the two primary recipients. Both publications are received monthly by members of both associations.
I attended Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology and New Liskeard Argicultural College.
I have recently retired from farming, corporate giants have pushed many independent farms out of business, and taken up writing. Among my current projects I am working on a feature film screenplay and will be starting a production story board for a music video in about a months time. I also attempt writing poetry although I suck at it.
Political and Spiritual convictions....well lets just say I am Free Thinking and if you have ever read the The Malleus Maleficarum or "Witches Hammer" you will understand.
